Bretforton Garden Club

CANCELLED  For 2020

During the early summer, as part of a National Open Gardens scheme, the club hosts an annual

Bretforton Open Gardens Day,

attracting hosts of visitors to the village.

Usually, about 10 gardens are open, including the Manor Gardens, Bretforton  School Garden, The Allotments and a Small plant nursery within the village. This gives the visitor a wide range of environments to enjoy, from small traditional cottage gardens, hidden gems, and modern, newly constructed gardens.  Formal walkways, Rose strewn arbours and productive vegetable gardens, plus the gardens of Bretforton Manor, which dates back to 1605 and have 5 acres of mixed formal and informal areas with all year round interest and colour with lots of unusual plants. Also, within the grounds are three water features, listed buildings and structures including a dovecote, a cider press barn and traditional walled garden.
